Society for Scholarly Publishing Annual Meeting 2021(online)
Digital Science will be exhibiting and joining the vibrant community of publishers, librarians, academics, service providers, funders, technologists and others at this year’s 43rd Annual Meeting of the SSP. If you are attending please drop by our online booth to say hello and chat to our Publisher Sales Team or join Betsy and Tyler’s session on Dimensions (see below).
We’re excited to be involved with two sessions during this year’s SSP Annual Meeting.
On Monday 24 May at 14:00 pm EDT, Katy Alexander, Global Marketing Director at Digital Science, will be taking part in The Glass Ceiling You Don’t Know About Yet: Removing Barriers for People with Disabilities at Work. This session will highlight some of the barriers that people with different types of disabilities face in their publishing careers, and it will suggest some ways that these could be broken down and overcome.
Betsy and Tyler from our Publisher Team will also be presenting Dimensions: The Data Behind Innovation and Transformation on Tuesday 25 May at 9:30 am EDT.
Operating within the dynamics of 2020 and 2021 amid a time of transformation has presented both challenges and opportunities for the publishing community. These include extra time for research and development, and looking closely on costs as well as revenue improvement.
This session will explore the data in Dimensions and how it can drive transformation of many aspects of scholarly publishing. Topics will include analysis for business model negotiations, operational cost savings, and strategic author outreach. This session will be informative for anyone interested in using data such as publications and awarded research grants projects alongside patents and clinical trials to drive innovation and transformation.
