Altmetric and Dimensions, giving you a greater view and understanding of published research

This presentation will feature Altmetric and Dimensions. Kathryn Weber-Boer will introduce the Altmetric dataset, including how the data points are linked, how research outputs and mentions are identified, and how these data are visualized using the Altmetric Explorer. Special attention will be given to the possibilities for scientometric research offered by this dataset, including both how it has been used in existing research and what gaps remain less explored.

Juergen Wastl will demonstrate Dimensions and highlight the objects, search, browse and in-built analytical functions in the context of scientometric interests. Next to an overview of the capabilities and extensions of Dimensions (API, GBQ), the most recent additions and functionality will be highlighted in a live demo (AI functionalities).
