Euan’s Reddit AMA – A Summary
On Thursday evening, Altmetric founder Euan Adie took part in his first Ask Me Anything on the science subreddit section. Euan’s provocative submission was titled, “Misuse of the Journal Impact Factor and focusing only on citations sucks, Ask Me Anything” and certainly encouraged a lot of debate!
It was fantastic to see a collection of people, from scientists, journalists and librarians getting involved in the discussion. You can see what happened on Twitter via the #askeuan hashtag where we did lots of live-tweeting:
“How do you plan to convince the sci community that #altmetrics are a better system?” @stew answers here: http://t.co/CfNHZV4qmY #askeuan

Even though the live session is now over, you can still ask Euan a question on the Reddit thread. Or, if you’d prefer you can ask @Altmetric on Twitter, or email them at info@altmetric.com.
Finally, there are still a few questions on Reddit waiting for an answer, and Euan is hoping to get to them in the next few days. Thanks again to all who joined in!
