SPIE Collection Now Discoverable Across ReadCube
ReadCube have today announced that they’ve teamed up with SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, to enhance the discoverability of 425,000 items from their peer-reviewed journals, Proceedings of SPIE and SPIE eBooks. You can discover these articles for yourself in any of ReadCube’s free apps by simply using their search, related article feeds and recommendation engine.
What’s more – all of SPIE’s articles are now enhanced so you can enjoy a truly connected article experience with hyperlinked in-line citations, annotations, clickable author names, instant access to supplemental content and figures, social sharing, and altmetrics.
Eric Pepper, SPIE Director of Publications, said:
“SPIE values increased discoverability and accessibility for our unique content. The more researchers, engineers, students, and scholars find and use this content, the greater its impact on scientific progress and education. We believe that working with ReadCube will further this key SPIE goal.”
Robert McGrath, CEO of Labtiva, said:
“The ability to discover and effectively learn from scholarly content is the bedrock upon which scientific discovery is built. We look forward to adding SPIE’s valuable collection of optics and photonics content to our discovery tools—to continue to better support our growing researcher community.”
