Symplectic to become the Natural History Museum’s first research information management provider

The Natural History Museum has selected Symplectic to provide their first integrated research information management system.

Symplectic’s flagship software, Elements, is already in use at some of the world’s top institutions and will allow The Natural History Museum museum to collect, manage and report on the research carried out by their 850 workforce.

The Natural History Museum in London is a prominent centre for scientific research, as well as one of the UK’s leading visitor attractions. Elements will allow The Natural History Museum museum to collect, manage and report on their research.  

Housing over 70 million natural history specimens, including six million rare books, The Natural History Museum also has an extensive collection of specimens collected by Charles Darwin during his research career. Elements will enable staff at the museum to drastically reduce their time spent collecting bibliographic data, maintaining records of their research, and will allow the automatic population of their public facing web profiles.
