With more than 20 years of experience in publishing, technical, and web-based services, Mary Anne successfully runs global sales and marketing initiatives for Overleaf – developing strategic partnerships and processes with publishing, institutional and enterprise clients. Mary Anne has previously worked developing global sales and marketing with Cenveo Publisher Services, The Charlesworth Group and American Journal Experts. Mary Anne is dedicated to expanding innovation in the scientific and publishing communities through amazing new technologies. She is currently a member of the Council of Science Editors (CSE) and the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP).
Liz Allen, Director of Strategic Initiatives at F1000
Liz Allen is Director of Strategic Initiatives at F1000, and is involved in shaping new initiatives and partnerships to promote and foster open research. Prior to joining F1000 in 2015, Liz spent over a decade as Head of Evaluation at the Wellcome Trust, with a particular interest in impact assessment and the development of science-related indicators. In 2015 Liz became a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in the Policy Institute at King’s College London.
Helen B. Josephine, Stanford University Libraries
Helen B. Josephine recently retired from the Stanford University Libraries where she was the Head of the Terman Engineering Library at Stanford University supporting the students and faculty of the School of Engineering. She was the subject liaison to the Electrical Engineering Department, the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department and the Management Science and Engineering Department. Helen was also the campus champion for the institutional subscriptions for both Overleaf and Mendeley. She received her MLIS from the University of California Berkeley and has worked in academic and corporate libraries since 1985. Linkedin profile.
John Hammersley, CEO and co-founder of Overleaf
John has always been fascinated by science, space, exploration and technology. After completing a PhD in Mathematical Physics at Durham University in 2008, he went on to help launch the world’s first driverless taxi system now operating at London’s Heathrow Airport. John’s now making it easier for scientists to collaborate and publish online as CEO and co-founder of Overleaf, the rapidly growing online collaborative writing and reviewing tool now with over half-a-million users worldwide. He was named as one of The Bookseller’s Rising Stars of 2015, is a mentor and alumni of the Bethnal Green Ventures startup accelerator in London, and in his spare time dances (and occasionally teaches) West Coast Swing.
