The Dimensions Grant Database is Growing!
$874 Billion Of Funded Research, More Than 1.7M Projects, From 150 Funders
Now Covered in the Dimensions Grant Database!
The above numbers are the latest characteristics of the global grants database which can be analysed using the Dimensions tool from ÜberResearch.
There are also more than $320 billion of active projects for 2015 and beyond. The team are also adding in more grant sources on a continuous basis. Integration means that the different data models from the various funders are mapped, and person and institution disambiguation routines are applied to the data – this allows for a precise view on the R&D portfolio of specific research organisations to look into collaboration options or it enables funders to compare their portfolio against other funders activities.
All grants are available for researchers to claim and assign to their ORCID record in using the ÜberWizard for ORCID – this means that all grants from different funders can be assigned is a single step – making it much easier to integrate grant related activity into ORCID.
The only alternative would be to key them in manually!
